We’re excited to announce the launch of Lafayette Federal Credit Union’s new website!
Since 1935, Lafayette Federal has sought to provide members with a safe and convenient place to save, and to offer deposit and loan accounts at rates and terms more favorable than those of other financial institutions. With assets over $1.8 billion and over 56,000 members worldwide, Lafayette Federal operates eight full-service branch offices in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
The redesign project aimed to: 1) Streamline and upgrade the user experience, 2) Drive engagement and cross-selling, and 3) Create a partnership for continual improvement.
Streamlining and upgrading the user experience
Whether a visitor is searching for a new product or service, looking to get in touch, or browsing Lafayette Federal’s extensive learning center, the new site’s streamlined and highly intuitive navigation gets them where they need to go. Other site enhancements include an upgraded search function and a seamless mobile experience. To help visitors get started, the homepage features a new launch tour module, offering a step-by-step guide through the new site’s key features and functionalities.
Driving engagement and cross-selling
Lafayette Federal’s new website encourages interactivity with benefit-based guided selling tools on product pages that help guide visitors toward the best-fit product options, as well as interactive calculators that automatically pull from the website’s rates tables to help inform buying decisions. Other exciting new features include chat functionality, an upgraded branch and ATM locator, and an animated component on the “Open an Account” page that walks visitors through the Lafayette Federal difference.
Creating a partnership for continual improvement
The website is built using flexible WordPress templates that empower the Lafayette Federal marketing team to update rates, product pages, photos, blog, and other information as needed.
