Sound Credit Union’s New Website Helps its Members Unlock Their Potential

We’re excited to announce the launch of Sound Credit Union’s new website!

With 26 full-service branch locations throughout the Puget Sound area, Sound Credit Union is one of Washington State’s largest credit unions, providing over 170,000 members with authentic and trusted financial support and services. PixelSpoke first redesigned Sound’s website in 2017 and was excited to have an opportunity to develop its next iteration.

Sound and PixelSpoke established three primary goals for the website redesign:

  1. Modernize and enhance the user experience
  2. Convert visitors through tailored & flexible product pages
  3. Make it easy for members to self serve and prospects to join

1. Modernizing and enhancing the user experience

With a blue-themed color palette and fish and wave motifs to reinforce Sound’s coastal location, the new website reinforces the credit union’s evolved brand identity. Whether visitors are looking for information about a product or service, are ready to apply for a loan or open an account, or want to explore financial education resources, the new site’s highly intuitive navigation gets them where they need to go.

2. Converting visitors through tailored & flexible product pages

The website includes added product page layout options to help make content more scannable, as well as easily accessible ways to apply online. An interactive guided selling tool on the Savings page helps guide visitors to the best-fit savings account based on criteria they select. On the Home Loans page, visitors can “meet” Sound’s mortgage loan officers, see testimonials specific to each lender, and apply directly with a specific member of the lending team.

3. Making it easy for members to self serve and prospects to join

A beautifully designed slideshow on the homepage walks prospects through the benefits of joining Sound, and custom copy on the Open an Account page furthers the case to become a member. Frequently asked questions throughout the site are consolidated in a robust “Support” section. For members who prefer to do their banking in person, detailed branch pages outline key staff at each location, as well as location and contact information, services, features, products, and fun facts.

Moving forward, Sound and PixelSpoke look forward to continuing their partnership to further evolve the website and better support the financial well-being of Sound members.
