Clean Energy Credit Union, Embold, and Allegacy win 2023 MAC Awards

PixelSpoke clients Allegacy, Embold, and Clean Energy Credit Union all won 2023 MAC Awards in the Website Design Category! The Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MAC) created the MAC Awards in 1986 to celebrate the great work of credit union marketers.

Clean Energy Credit Union, which won a Silver Award in the $500 Million and Less category, is an online-only, federally chartered credit union serving members throughout the USA. Its mission is to promote clean energy, environmental stewardship, and cooperative enterprises through the financial services it provides to its members.

The redesign project aimed to:

  1. Differentiate through design and storytelling
  2. Make a compelling case for prospects to join
  3. Lay a strong digital foundation for Clean Energy to continue building on in years to come

Allegacy, which won a Bronze Award in the $1 Billion and Greater category, has been helping members pursue wellness of mind, body and wallet since 1967. As one of the largest credit unions in North Carolina, it serves over 170,000 members worldwide with $2 billion in assets.

PixelSpoke first redesigned Allegacy’s website in 2017 and has since worked on an ongoing basis with the credit union as a digital marketing partner. The second redesign aimed to:

  1. Improve and personalize the user experience
  2. Upgrade and modernize the site
  3. Incorporate stakeholder feedback in a holistic manner

Embold (formerly Clackamas Federal Credit Union), which won a Bronze Award in the $501 to $999 Million category, has over 35,000 members and has been serving its community since 1957. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Oregon’s Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington, and Yamhill counties.

PixelSpoke first redesigned Embold’s website in 2017 and has since worked on an ongoing basis with the credit union as a digital marketing partner. The website refresh project aimed to:

  1. Bring Embold’s new name and brand to life
  2. Upgrade and modernize the site UX and functionality
  3. Offer an improved Spanish-language version of the site
