About the project
PenAir needed an energetic new website to reflect its rebranding efforts, which came on the heels of completing the conversion to become a state-chartered credit union. From the outset of the project, PixelSpoke and PenAir’s shared vision for the redesigned website included driving digital engagement, bringing PenAir’s spirit of “Communerosity” to life online, and creating a partnership for continual improvement. Here’s how we partnered to achieve these goals:
Driving digital engagement
The website reflects the credit union’s new brand, with vibrant colors, playful animations, and dynamic design motifs. But it’s not just all about looks. The new website’s intuitive user experience is designed to drive loans and make it easy for members to engage with PenAir’s virtual branch and digital tools.
An elegant Datatrac integration on the homepage incentivizes new loans and deposits by comparing PenAir’s competitive rates to others in the region, and a guided selling tool sends visitors to best-fit products based on their current financial goals. For more complex products, like home loans, visitors can select which features are important to them to be directed to the loan option most likely to meet their needs.
Bringing PenAir’s spirit of “Communerosity” to life online
As stated on PenAir’s Employee Fundraising page, “To Webster, Communerosity is not a word. But to us, it’s our most important value. We define it as a positive force for good, where community and generosity fuse into something unshakable.”
The new website highlights impact in its main navigation, with a robust impact section that communicates the depth of PenAir’s community engagement. It includes dedicated pages for its charity partnerships, employee fundraising initiatives, and scholarship opportunities, as well as its one-of-a-kind seven-month financial advising competition, NOW.
Creating a partnership for continual improvement
The website is built using flexible WordPress templates that empower the PenAir marketing team to update rates, product pages, photos, blog posts, and other information as needed. Moving forward, PenAir and PixelSpoke look forward to continuing their partnership to further evolve the website and better support the financial well-being of PenAir members.
